[Rick Santorum, comparing marriage to a glass of water (not a glass of beer!): It’s like saying this glass of water is a glass of beer. Well, you can call it a glass of beer, but it’s not a glass of beer, it’s a glass of water. And water is what water is.]
Jon Stewart: Yes, Senator! As a Christian, you wanna base your argument against gay marriage on the idea that water could never be turned into an alcoholic beverage. Very smart.

You will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will.

You will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will.
'Cause if you don't, then this book's all lies; if you don't, then my plans will all be ruined. If you don't, I'll start drinkin' like the way I drank before.
Oh and I, I just won’t have a future, anymore.

Being pro-choice

Pro-choice means having safe and consensual sex. It means realizing that our culture has casual sex, making sex a recreational activity and pregnancy a choice.

It means realizing that pregnancy does not have to be a side-effect of sex. In fact, the natural result of sex is pleasure. It means taking a step back before becoming sexually active and asking yourself if you’re ready for the pleasures that come with it. These pleasures and possible outcomes being not only orgasm, but also the emotional connection and happiness that could result from you getting to know your body inside and out, outcomes that you must assess and decide that you want to have sex a lot more often. Ideally, it means realizing that sex was created to be an act of pleasure between two people, and, outside of marriage, sex is the same as sex inside of marriage.

Pro-choice means reforming the link between sex and pleasure, raising the value of sex from its strict, low position of only between a man and woman in marriage to its intended place of casual or not, and seeing pregnancy as optional.

Pro-choice means realizing that men and women, or neither  can control their pregnancies and can make informed decisions to prevent conception, whether it be through contraception or abortion.

thanks to silentholocaust for their pro-life version, but i happen to think this version is a lot better.

I’m calling out, an anti-choice blog.

I don’t normally do this as I am not very good at articulating myself, but this person has been making me sick.

Speakfortheweak is a misogynist. She is a hypocrite. She is perpetuating harmful and hateful views against women.

First, she refuses to answer many questions that people, including myself, send her. If she does answer them, she picks and chooses which ones she can twist in her favor, and posts them publicly. If she is feeling cowardly, she answers them privately (as she once did with me).

Second, her arguments hold no water. She believes a fetus, which is a cluster of cells that has no self-awareness, should be considered a human life. I guess in her mind, something that could become a person should be given rights over an actual person. Following her own logic, that means menstruation, and any male ejaculation (that does not reach an egg) is “killing a human life.” I mean really, where do we draw the line? Just because an egg and sperm combine, it does not mean it is suddenly more or less human than just a sperm or an egg. They are all cells too, right? So then, we can assume speakfortheweak believes your period is murder, and when you give your boyfriend a blowjob, you are “killing innocent babies!!11!1!” because sperm and eggs are “potential people.”

Third, she believes the Holocaust is the same thing as abortion. As someone who is Jewish and who’s great-grandparents survived the Holocaust, I am appalled at this comparison. I don’t think speakfortheweak has ever heard of a Venn Diagram. Just because two things sound similar, does not mean they are. Wars and robberies may both involve guns, but you wouldn’t break into a house with a gun and say you’re declaring war. Additionally, you cannot even compare abortion and the Holocaust. To do so is a slap in the face to Holocaust survivors, victims, and their families. Abortion is the removal of a cluster of cells (a fetus) from the uterus. This fetus feels no pain and has no cognition. However, men, women, and children who were killed during the Holocaust could think and feel pain. They were tortured and starved. There is no brutal murdering involved in abortion. If you believe this, you are willfully ignorant about abortion and what the procedure actually involves. Let me tell you some small tidbits that are not from some anti-choice blog*

  • Fetuses do not feel pain before anywhere between 20-29 weeks into the gestational period.
  • According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the majority of abortions are performed less than 6 weeks into gestation.
  • Only 1.4% of abortions occur after 21 weeks, which is usually in the case of a fetus which dies in the womb, or if there’s a risk to medical harm to the mother.

*if any of my information is inaccurate, please contact me so I can correct it!

Speakfortheweak is an anti-choice propaganda blog, and she has no interest in learning facts. She only wants to spew her misogynistic bullshit all over Tumblr. I am sick of these anti-choicers pretending to care about women when in reality they are only interested in shaming them for something that does not require shame.

This is only the tip of the iceberg with this anti-choicer. They have so many offensive viewpoints I didn’t even know where to begin.

So, to speakfortheweak: check your facts, check yourself, and to be honest, go fuck yourself.
